Firefighting Facility Inspection
According to the Act on Fire Prevention, Installation, Maintenance and Management of Firefighting Facilities, firefighting objects must be regularly inspected by themselves or by firefighting facility managers, technicians and safety managers.
Operational Inspection
Comprehensive Inspection
Items
Checking the normal operation by artificially manipulating firefighting facilities, etc.
Checking whether the structural standards of major components of each facility, including the operation inspection of facilities, comply with the fire safe standards
Subject
All firefighting objects (except for firefighting objects that only install fire extinguishing equipment, such as hazardous materials manufacturing facilities)
- Total floor area of 5,000㎡ with fire extinguishing equipment such as sprinkler equipment or water spray installed
- Public institutions equipped with indoor fire hydrants and automatic fire detection facilities with a total floor area of 1,000㎡ or more
- Public institutions equipped with indoor fire hydrants and automatic fire detection facilities with a total floor area of 1,000㎡ or more
Inspector’s Qualification
- Firefighting facility manager
- Persons related to firefighting objects or fire safety manager
- Persons related to firefighting objects or fire safety manager
- Firefighting facility manager
- Firefighting facility manager or firefighting engineer appointed as fire safety manager
- Firefighting facility manager or firefighting engineer appointed as fire safety manager
Inspection Method
Using a waterproof pressure sensor, insulation resistance tester, heat/smoke dector tester
Using equipmet in accordance with the standards of the firefighting facility management business
Inspection Frequency and Timing
1. Comprehensive Inspection : Conducted 6 months after the month of comprehensive inspection
2. Other subject : Once a year
* Multi-use facilities are conducted at least once every quarter

Implemented until the month in which the date of approval for use of the building belongs
(In the case of a new building, it is implemented from the year following the issuance of the firefighting facility completion inspection certificate)

Self-retention for 2 years
